Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using FirstVerse, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

License to Use

FirstVerse grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use this app for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or reverse engineer the app.

Bible Translations

The Bible translations included (World English Bible British Edition, Noah Webster Bible) are in the public domain. While the app itself is proprietary, the Scripture texts may be freely used.

Trademarks

“World English Bible” is a trademark of eBible.org and is used only to identify faithful copies of the public-domain text as published by eBible.org.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use FirstVerse only for lawful purposes. You may not use the app in any way that violates applicable laws or infringes on others' rights.

Intellectual Property

FirstVerse and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by the developer and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

Disclaimer of Warranties

FirstVerse is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the app.

Open Source Software

FirstVerse incorporates open source software components licensed under various open source licenses. These components are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. By using FirstVerse, you accept the terms of these third-party licenses.

• Inter by Rasmus Andersson (SIL Open Font License 1.1)
• Merriweather by Sorkin Type (SIL Open Font License 1.1)

All AI models and libraries are bundled with the app and run locally on your device. No data is sent to external servers for processing.

The full text of each license is available within the app under Settings → About → Open Source, and in the app bundle at /assets/licenses/.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting within the app. Your continued use of FirstVerse after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to FirstVerse at any time, without prior notice, for any reason, including breach of these terms.

Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
